Easy Crockpot 3 Cheese Sausage Tortellini

April Ebook of the Month

So I decided that I'm going to start doing Ebook of the month. Basically, I will post towards the end of every month my favorite ebook that I read. I read alot on my Kindle. I literally have hundreds of ebooks on there. Some I paid for but most I got free by using bookbub.com. It's free to sign up. You put in your book genre interests and every day they send you an email of all the books that are on sale or FREE matching your particular tastes. It's great! Anyway, hope you guys like this little idea and hope it helps you to find books you might like to read as well!

So my first ebook of the month for April hands down is going to Finding Me, A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed by Michelle Knight. Wow! This book was just so many things. Horrifying, nerve racking, inspirational, just so many emotions rolled up in this book. When I first heard that Michelle and the other two girls were rescued from this hellish nightmare, automatically I was one of those people that wanted to know details of their captivity. It may seem a bit odd or even strange that someone would want to know those details but that's just how the human brain works I think. When something to that degree, that horrifying happens, you want to know how it happened, how someone could possibly do something like that to another human being. I saw Michelle's interview on the Dr. Phil show one day and was instantly intrigued by her whole outlook on life and what had happened to her. She was such an incredible strong woman. So, when I saw that my library had her book in ebook form that you could check out (which btw, checking out books from your library can be done straight from the comfort of your own home by visiting your library website. All you need is your library card.) I knew instantly that I wanted to get it and read it. From the moment I opened the book and started reading I was completely engrossed in it. I did not want to put it down. As a matter fact I read the book in a day and a half. It would've been a lot quicker but being that I have 2 six-year-olds running around the house and a home to take care of as well as a husband I had to put it down a few times. Anyway, the book had me feeling so many emotions. One minute I was joyful and hopeful, the next minute I was scared and anxious, and towards the middle of the book it was just completely horrifying. To read what this woman had to in endure in this house for 11 years was just completely, for lack of a better word, fascinating. I say that with the upmost respect. It had to take so much out of her soul to get through what she got through.

In the book Michelle mentions that she often prayed to a God that she hoped was there. Well, God was there because if he wasn't, there is no way she could've made it through what she did. She definitely had some angels looking over her. This woman has such inner strength, it is just completely unbelievable. Ariel Castro, the man that did this to her and the other two girls was a complete monster. It was really hard reading some of the things in the book that she talked about that he did to her. It's hard to believe that a man who had a daughter of his own could do something like that to someone else's daughter. It almost seemed like he had multiple personalities, or was extremely bipolar. I don't know, but he was very disturbed. He deserved everything he got when it came to the sentence that the judge gave him.

The book takes you through the beginning of Michelle's life, how she lived before her kidnapping, which was also very sad. This girl did not have a good life and then that happens to her. She truly is a wonderful strong human being to have had the life that she had before hand and then to be kidnapped and tortured for 11 years by a monster and come out of the entire situation the way she has. This book definitely put things into perspective for me when it comes to my life, and the things that I'm capable of enduring even though I may not want to. Like they say, sometimes you do not know how strong you truly are until you're forced to be that way.

On a final note I will leave you guys with this, you need to get this book and read it. Go check it out at your library, go buy it on Amazon, or go to a local bookstore near you and pick it up. It is definitely worth a read! It is one of those books that you will remember for a very long time that's for sure.

God bless and I hope you guys have a great day!

Always,
Vee

City Color Glowing Complexion Illuminating Cream

Hey loves! I had to stop and share my most recent purchase because I'm in love with it!! I got this at Five Below. It was $3.00. It's a cream highlighter from City Color. Let me tell you it is beautiful! The glow from this stuff looks so amazing and it looks so natural! This product is a perfect dupe to Benefits High Beam highlighter. Perfect! So if you have a Five Below store near you I would highly recommend picking this up and trying it for yourself. If you don't have a Five Below store than I'm pretty sure you can order this product directly from the City Color website along with a lot of other amazing cosmetics from their brand. I've tried quite a few things from them and have never been disappointed!

Anyway, hope you all are having a great Sunday!! God Bless and be good to one another.

xoxo,
Vee

MIA...

Hey loves. I apologize that I have been MIA from YouTube and Instagram and my other social media lately. I’ve got a lot on my plate right now and some things are keeping me a bit preoccupied. I’m not quitting YouTube. I just wanted to take a moment to kind of clear all that up and let you guys know that I’m still around.  I do have a video going up this weekend. At this point I’ll have to play it by ear and see when I have the time to edit another video. I’ve got plenty filmed, they just need editing. Anyway, I hope you all have a blessed Easter weekend. Remember why we celebrate. Jesus paid the ultimate price for you and me. He thought we were worth it. Let’s not disappoint Him!
