Handy Household Printables!

Hey loves!
Before I signed off completely today to get caught up on my housework, I thought I would post a few great handy printables and lists that I use quite frequently in case any of you would like to print them out and use them yourselves in your life. I promise you they sure make things a lot easier....most of the time, because let's face it, who likes to clean? I found all of these from Pinterest and I highly doubt that at this point there is anyone reading this that hasn't heard of pinterest, BUT if there is then I would HIGHLY recommend you go check out the site because it is literally one of the best things since Nutella. You can find more printables on my pinterest which is HERE. Just click on the album called "Lists, Schedules & Printables".

Ok here are a few of the ones I love to pieces. Just click on each photo to make it larger and then you can right click the photo and print.
See ya next time!

xoxo,

Checking In.....

Hey my beautiful friends!!
I just wanted to stop in and say hello. I know it's been a week or so since my last post. There is good reason for that though. This past week I have not been feeling well at all. Just out of the loop. Nothing specific but just that overall "blah, I don't feel good" feeling. Know what I mean? Anyway, I think I know what it was and should be right as rain in about three days if you get my drift. *wink wink*
I have some dollar tree product reviews coming up for you guys! I know right!!! Here lately it seems like the Dollar Tree has been such a popular place. I have been seeing hauls after hauls on youtube. I honestly could not be happier. It is about time that people wake up and realize that good quality stuff does not have to cost a fortune! I went to the dollar tree a couple weeks ago and bought some products that I have been using, one of which turned out to surpise me and almost completely got rid of my eczema! You can see the video by clicking HERE!
That trip to the Dollar Tree really was a winner because I got quite a few things that have been working out for me really well and I can't wait to share them with you guys on here. I will always do reviews on products on my youtube channel which can be found HERE! Please go SUBSCRIBE if your not so you won't ever miss a video and we have alot of fun I must admit *not tooting my own horn or anything...ok maybe a little*.
I am gonna scoot for now, lots to get caught up around the house today but there will be a new Dollar Tree haul video up before the weekend is over so click that link above and go Subscribe so you will be notified when it goes LIVE! woot. Have a blessed weekend loves!

My Top 5 Past Makeup Mistakes

This topic was actually requested on my youtube channel for me to do. However, I felt that I could better cover it in a blog post. So, I hope you enjoy. Please feel free to share some of your past makeup mistakes in the comment section.

MISTAKE #1:

Not wearing sunscreen when going out into the sun.
I used to tan so much, both outdoors as well as in a tanning bed. I would even tan multiple times a day and not once would I ever even remotely consider buying a sunscreen let alone putting one on. Are you kidding me? Block the sun? Miss out on being all bronze and beautiful? No way! Never! The sad thing about all that is, now I'm in my 30's and I am paying for that way of thinking. I have very uneven skin pigmentation on my face as well as my shoulders. I also have alot of redness on my face due to over exposure to the sun. I have alot of sun spots on my shoulders from over exposure as well. So, thinking that way in my 20's and not using sunscreen during those times will forever have a lasting effect on my appearance for the rest of my life.
ALWAYS USE SUNSCREEN!
A TAN IS JUST NOT WORTH IT.
There are ways to tan that doesn't require the sun. There are countless self tanners out there that not only give you that tan but most of them create a more healthy looking tan than actually laying out or tanning in the tanning bed normally give you.

MISTAKE #2:

Not using moisturizer.
As I stated above I used to tan alot. Tanning can dry out the skin tremendously. I should have at least used a moisturizer during that time if no other time in my life. However, as I stated about the sunscreen, I never thought once about buying a moisturizer to use for my face. To be honest I always thought that moisturizers were for "old" people. Yeah, how crazy is that way of thinking?! As a result I now have premature wrinkles. I would almost bet anything on the fact that I could have prevented alot of those wrinkles just by using a daily moisturizer. I actually do use the moisturizer pictured above. It is very good and I highly recommend it. It is one of the top moisturizers recommended by Dr. Oz as well. You can find it at most drugstores. I found mine at Walmart, and the best part? It is a very big container that will last you quite a while and it is UNDER $5.00! Now there is no excuse not to be using a good moisturizer.

MISTAKE #3:

Wearing crazy blue mascara.
Now I know there might be some of you reading this that say, "What's wrong with blue mascara?" My answer to that is....Nothing is wrong with it if it's your thing. However, I personally think it is a makeup mistake. I don't really think it looks nice on anyone and can look a bit theatrical or even Halloween-ish to me. I am guilty of really doing this one up in my late teens. I used to wear blue eyeshadow, bright blue mascara and bright blue eyeliner. Why not match right? NO! JUST NO! I am a much bigger fan of using a colored eyeliner instead of colored mascaras.

MISTAKE #4:

Wearing way to much eyeliner!!!
Yikes, I was so bad about this one. I can not believe how I used to leave the house. To me, the darker under the eye, the better. That might be some people's cup of tea but it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Quite frankly, I'm not sure why it ever did. LOL!

MISTAKE #5:

Practically dead lips!
You know those lipsticks that you put on that looks like a concealer and therefore makes you pretty much look like a walking corpse from the nose down? Yeah, GUILTY! I honestly blame Pamela Anderson for starting this insane craze. Although, she is the one exception that I honestly did think it looked nice on her. I mean I must have right or otherwise why would I have tried it for myself?! Regardless, reality fairy finally slapped me a few good times and thankfully I don't do it to that extreme anymore. Don't get me wrong now, I still love a good nude lip as much as the next person but now I tend to stick with more mauve nudes or pink nudes than actual "concealer" nudes. The only nude like that I still have and refuse to get rid of is the ELF lipstick in Natural Nymph. I adore that lipstick but it is one of those concealer nudes. I still wear it but now I add a bit of a pink gloss over it to bring some life to my lips.
So stay away from the dead ladies, the land of the living is so much more appealing!

Well, that pretty much does it for my Top 5 Past Makeup Mistakes. Don't forger to leave a comment and let me know of some of yours. I promise I won't laugh to hard. (I hope you know my fingers are crossed behind my back on that one.)

See ya next time,

My Favorite Smoothie Recipes!

Hey beauties! I thought I would do a post on my favorite smoothie recipes. I am fairly new to smoothies. I just started drinking them a few months ago when I decided to purchase a Magic Bullet. I must admit that at first I was NOT a fan of them either. It was all I could do to drink half a glass of one. I found that I was wasting so much produce because I was just basically pouring it down the sink. I thought making smoothies was easy but in all honesty the method of making them is easy, it's knowing what ingredients to add together to make a delicious smoothie that can be a bit complicated, at least to me it was. I found that I liked the smoothies that used more fruit than veggies, of course not everyone will be the same in that aspect. I also figured out that although I adore strawberries, I absolutely hate them in my smoothies. I don't know how it is with other smoothie machines but the Magic Bullet does not remove the seeds and I can not stand any type of seed or pealing left in my smoothies. I am a texture girl and THAT texture is just not my thing.
So, basically I am saying that when it comes to smoothie making don't be surprised if you have to waste a few to find out what combinations you like. It's all part of the process.
With all that being said, here are three of my favorite "smoothie" type drinks to enjoy!

SMOOTHIE RECIPE #1
*About 6 or 7 small ice cubes
*3-4 Frozen peach slices (I buy them in the bag already cut and frozen)
*5-6 frozen green seedless grapes
*3 slices of frozen mango (I also buy these already cut and frozen)
*1/2 cup of crushed pineapples with a little bit of the juice (I use the canned kind)
*1/2 cup pineapple orange juice
*Palm full of spinach & Kayle (I buy this already packaged together in a container)
*A table spoon of honey
*One drop of vanilla extract (optional)

SMOOTHIE RECIPE #2
*6-7 small ice cubes
*1 cup of Pineapple Coconut Juice (I buy a glass bottle of this at my HEB grocery store)
*1/2 cup crushed pineapple
*1/2 of a frozen banana
*5-6 frozen green seedless grapes
*Palm full of spinach & Kayle
*4-5 Baby carrots
*Teaspoon of honey

SMOOTHIE RECIPE #2
(This is what I drink when I have a chocolate craving and it's not a cheat day)

*8 small ice cubes
*1 1/2 teaspoons of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
*2 table spoons of chocolate syrup
*1 cup of Vanilla Almond Milk

These recipes will make one glass and are based on how much a Magic Bullet container holds. Of course you can make more servings by increasing the amount of ingredients.
Hope you all enjoy!
Leave me a comment and tell me some of your favorite smoothie recipes!

XOXO,

I Love Summer Tag!

1. Favorite Bronzer for Summer? Makeup Academy Mosaic Bronzer in Shade 2 Sunkissed Glow.

2. Your relaxing in a hammock on a tropical island. What are you sipping on? Favorite summer drink? I love drinking margaritas on summer evenings. They are so cool and refreshing.

3. Favorite Summer Lip Product? I honestly use alot of lip balms in the summer time. They are so good at keeping your lips moisturized and they just make your lips look so casual and delicate (if those words can even apply to lips..lol) without over doing it. Summer time is about being minimal on my face makeup because it is so hot here in Texas. So to answer the question, my favorite lip product for summer would have to be the Nivea lip butters, I especially love the vanilla one.

4. Pool or Beach? For sure the Beach! I love going to the beach and feeling the sand between my toes, walking about the shore and feeling the waves crash around my feet. I love looking for seashells and other beach treasures.

5. Summer= Crazy hair! What is your must have styling product? My Revelon flat iron and my Fantasia Hair Polisher Heat Protection Straightening Serum (Target around $8.00). This stuff is amazing and keeps my hair from frizzing. My hair looks beautiful and shiny all day long no matter the heat or the wind.

6. Sun Bathing or Fake Tan? Honestly, I know to much sun can be very bad for you but nothing beats laying out in the sun to me. Not only does the tan look so pretty but it's just one of the most relaxing things ever.

7. Favorite Summer Nail Polish? I actually have a few but the three that comes to mind are China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy, Sinful Colors 24/7, and I.C.E polish in the color Pastel Teal.

8. Any summer traditions? Yes, we always try to go to the beach every summer! Like I said, I love the beach!

9. Favorite Summer Scent? Bodycology body spray in Gardenia. (Walmart around $6.00), such a beautiful, delicate, summery scent!

10. Favorite BBQ food? Grilled Corn. I can't get enough of it! I also really like macaroni salad.

11. What are your favorite summer proof product? Aloe gel (for moisturizing after being in the sun), and sunscreen for my face.

12. Any summer vacation plans this year? No plans? Tell us about your dream summer trip!
We actually are going to the beach in three days. I count that as a little vacation. Other than that I am not sure. My dream trip would actually be to go to either New Orleans or Savannah and spend a week, take some ghost tours and just photograph the old buildings and walk around and just soak up the history and atmosphere.

Hope you guys enjoyed this little tag. I thought it was cute. I tag all of you!! Let me know if you do it so I can go read yours!
xoxo,
