Shine from Inside

Great advice I'd say. At least it hit home for me. Speaking for myself only in this post (although I'm sure there are many more reading this that are just like me, I'm not THAT special *wink*), I often times get caught up in the most insignificant things. Youtube videos, what's on TV, what new app to download for my phone, what color to paint my nails next, and the list goes on and on. There is no end to the madness. I find that when I am focusing more on these types of things I'm not the person I would wanna be. Superficial things have a way of taking control over my life at times I'm sad to say. However, in that same breath I will say that I always get a grip again pretty quickly. That's mostly due in part to the good Lord above putting me in my place. I am so beyond thankful and grateful for that. Anyway, I'm getting off on a rambling tangent so I will wrap this up.

Final thought: I'm no better than anyone of you reading this & vice versa. We all make mistakes & hopefully your the type of person to learn and grow from them. Point is though that it's never to late to step back and reevaluate life even if you have to do it many many MANY times throughout your time in this world. Remember one thing, what sets you apart from a lost cause is the fact that you keep and want to keep trying to better yourself/life in some way. I don't care how many times we fall off the wagon, what really counts is how many times you get your ass up and keep getting back on until you get it right.

Be the change you wanna see❤️

Vee

This World is a Scary Place...Land of the Free No More...

So how many days now since government shutdown? I am crossing my fingers and praying to God above that the Republicans do NOT  budge on anything and we go into default next Thursday. Might sound crazy but I can assure you the alternative would be alot worse. Sure, things would be hard for awhile but we would come out better off in the end. With Obama-care that won't be possible. Our president is taking away our rights right and left and so many Americans are blinded. That or they just don't give a shit. Which is so sad. First he wants our guns, then just yesterday he signs a bill to limit free speech?!! Oh yes my loves he sure did. Do you know what this bill states? Well let me enlighten ya if you don't. Basically, our fine president is giving final say to all secret service agents on whether or not they think what you might happen to say about government officials or our "fine" president during protests or anything really, is appropriate so to speak. If they find it not appropriate then guess what happens to your ass? You are charged with a FELONY! A felony for something that was written into our constitution! That very same constitution that our country is built upon! No more protesting because if they don't like it you will be staring at some nice steal bars and eating your rationing of bread and water each day (a bit dramatic but you get the point don't ya). This world is crumbling around us! I'm so sick of those who are trying to push Obama-care saying that it is a good thing. IT'S NOT A GOOD THING! Sure people who couldn't get insurance previously will now be able to get it but at what cost?? I know for a fact that after putting in my information the yearly premium that was shot back at me was no where near what me and my family could afford. I thought this was supposed to be something that all Americans could afford? That all Americans could benefit from? Not to mention, has anyone ever bothered to read some of that nice fine print within Obama-care? Bet not, if so then you would be questioning a few things yourselves. Let me just let ya in on a few incase you may not know....

1. Under Obama-care they have the right to come in a search your home WITHOUT your permission for a number of reasons some of which include: if you are a low income family, if you have a child that has a disability, if your a smoker and the list goes on and on and on and on my friends! IS THAT CONSTITUTIONAL?

2. Under Obama-care you will no longer have say so in what immunizations your children get. Meaning if they have an experimental vaccination and they want to inject your child with it then guess what....yep, you have no say in the matter. IS THAT CONSTITUTIONAL?

3. Under Obama-care there is also something in there saying that they basically can come in and take your children regardless of the circumstances. Yes, that is in there! IS THAT CONSTITUTIONAL?

And so much more!

SCARED YET? You should be. I know I am. We as Americans have to wise up and start putting our foot down and say "NO MORE! We will not accept this!" Our soldiers who are out putting their lives on the line for this country are now being made to sign waivers saying that they will basically work for free (IOUs) and if they don't sign them then they are fired. It blows my mind how it didn't even take one year after reelection for this president to pretty much kill this country. Why can't anyone see that? Sure we have had other bad presidents in the past (cough cough BUSH *both*), but no president that I can remember at least in my lifetime has ever done such destruction to this country as the one we have now.

If you don't agree with me then that's your prerogative...after all it is a free country..at least for now anyway. But I seriously encourage you to do your own research. By all means don't take my word for it. It's all there in black and white my friends.

Yes this blog was a bit different from the rest of my blog entries but to be honest I find this to be my best one yet. I'm sick of skating around life and being a quiet little chick sitting in my egg not wanting to step on any toes. That gets you no where in life. IT IS TIME TO TAKE A STAND. Whether we stand together or not is your own choice. We each have our own path in life to figure out but don't be to surprised if you don't see more of these types of posts in the future.

Final words tonight...stay informed folks. A little bit of knowledge never hurt anyone. Goodnight.

Vee

Random Thoughts, Questions Answered & Future Things...

Hey everyone!

Yep, it's been awhile since I have actually took the time to sit down and write a blog post. No excuses. I wanted to make one tonight to update you all on a few things, answer some FAQs and also to let you all in on what's been going on and some future things that could be coming up along with some future goals that I hope to accomplish. So, that being said, this could be a long one but I hope you all don't mind.

Ok first off about the questions....I have been getting asked about the store that I told you all about a month or two ago that I was going to be opening. I once again kind of jumped ahead of myself before I had every single little detail in order. I always do so it comes as no surprise to me. Something about my personality I really need to change among the many others I'm sure..lol Now as for the store, as of right now I will not be opening one. I need to find a better place to open one than Store Envy. Others may like that one but I find it a bit complicated to deal with the shipping options. I am not really in any hurry to open one. I have a million things going on right now, or at least it seems like it to me anyway and I just don't have the time I thought I would have to mess with it and keep up with it. Sorry for announcing it when I should have kept my mouth shut until I knew for certain.

If you all have any other questions for me, whether it be beauty related, or otherwise, I do have a Q&A video up on my channel where you can leave any questions you have and once I get enough questions to make a video I will answer those questions for you all. Here is the link to that video.

It feels like I just never have any time anymore to do anything I truly want to do. Does anyone else feel like that? I think the fact that my kids are starting school in a couple months for the first time is really stressing me out. I don't want them to go. Technically, I don't have to send them. In our state laws state that kids don't have to be in school until the age of 6 years old, my babies are 4, will be turning 5 just before the new school year starts. A part of me wants to give them another year, my husband seems to think we should. His mother kept him and his brother home until they were both 6 years old and then they started kindergarten. However, I dunno. I guess I will see as it gets closer whether or not I think they are ready. I for one will never be ready so I have to push my feelings aside on the matter and do what is best for them.

I have started going to a gym. It hasn't been consistent which there is no excuse for but I want to really buckle down again and get this weight loss thing going once more....yes, I know, for all of you out there saying " OMG can't this girl finish anything she starts?!" the answer to that is....sometimes...lol I will be the first person to admit my short comings and flaws and also to laugh at myself when the moment presents itself and I know that I am a HUGE procrastinator still when it comes to certain things. I get to going really good on my weight loss and then BAM!!!! off the wagon I go tumbling. I guess I should at least give myself a little teeny very teeny bit of credit for the fact that I ALWAYS get back on, granted maybe not right away but I always do. However, either way you look at it, it's still not getting me where I NEED to be. I'm gonna ask you guys some questions and I hope you will give me some ideas and advice.
1. For those of you who eat less processed foods or none at all, what do you buy when you go to the store?

2. And also what types of meals do you cook for your families? For instance, if you make chicken one night how do you season it? Cook it? and what sides do you make with it? I am in desperate need of some good meal ideas that doesn't contain alot of processed foods. But please keep in mind that my family operates on a VERY TIGHT budget.

Ok enough of the fatty talk. I think my camera broke today :( I am hoping that it is just the charging cord and not actually the camera. What happened was, I was going to film a video so I turned the camera on and when I did the screen froze. It took me a few minutes to get it to unfreeze and I turned it off and turned it back on. It started but this time it said that the battery was low. I thought maybe I could get a video in before it died and I started recording. It recorded about 2 minutes before it died on me. Well, I got the cord and went to plug it into the wall to charge it and the charge indicator light didn't come on. I thought that the camera might be so drained that it might take a few minutes to get a charge on it before the light came on. I let it charge for about 30 minutes and still no light. So I'm not sure what to think. It just won't charge. Normally to me it would sound like the charging cord but I'm a bit worried because like I said the camera did freeze on me before the battery went dead and it's never done that before. I ordered a cord from ebay tonight and it says it is going to be here by the 17th of June. Luckily for me I had already prefilmed five videos for you guys so I can just edit those and stretch those out over the course of the next week or so. However, once I get the new cord and if it doesn't work not only am I going to become a blubbering idiot *LOL* but I will have to resort to going back and filming my videos using my old camera that I used for the first 2 years I did videos. It's a cannon power shot camera. It isn't a bad camera at all but it does have it's draw backs. It is alot smaller mega pixel, the zoom is smaller, it doesn't take as crisp of videos, the sound makes me sound a bit different and it doesn't focus on things close up at all. I am just glad though that I do have a back up camera. I will have to use it until I can afford to get a new camera if in fact the new charging cord doesn't do the trick. So you all keep your fingers crossed for me!

Ok, I guess that's about it for now. Hope you all are still with me. If any of you have the Keek app follow me on there! I would love to follow you back. Just search @MissVeronyka and you will find me! I'm also on Viddy *iphone only app*, under the same name. I will talk to you all very soon. Give me a shout on one of my other social media sites which can always be found in the information boxes under all of my videos on my channel here http://www.youtube.com/user/MissVeronyka I know I didn't exactly talk about everything I said I was going to but being honest here, I'm tired and it's midnight...Zzzzz

EXCITING NEWS!

UPDATE/NEWS:
I have been entertaining the idea for about 6 months or so now & today I decided to go ahead and do it for just a trial run and see how it goes. I opened up an personal store on Store Envy. At this time I do not have any stock but plan on getting some up very soon. I will be selling a wide range of things both new items and gently used items (which will be stated in the description of the item if it is gently used). Everything from makeup to nails to nail art to random household items, costume jewelry  etc. I will for sure be doing my very best to give you gals the best deals I possibly can. Once I get some items in the store I will put the link to it here, on my Facebook page as well mention it in an upcoming video as well as always be linking it in the bottom information box of each of my videos. I have been getting alot of comments lately about people saying how they really enjoy my hauls and the things I get and how they wish they could get certain items where they were etc. I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to be able to maybe take requests on any items that you gals may see in my haul videos, both past and present and use those items to understand more of what type of stock you all would be interested in. So if you have anything in mind please feel free to either comment under my videos or private message me here, on Twitter or any of my other social media sites and I will do my best to stock that item in my store and make it available to you!

I will be posting more info here as I get things ready for my store to OPEN! I am very excited to see how this all goes! Thanks gals! Hope you will share the store link with all your friends and family as well once I do open up. Have a blessed Monday!!

L♥VED this! Had to share...

45 Life Lessons. Written by a 90 Year Old

45 Life Lessons, written by a 90 year old

1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short not to enjoy it.
4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and family will.
5. Don’t buy stuff you don’t need.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Stay true to yourself.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it.
9. Save for things that matter.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye… But don’t worry; God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful.  Clutter weighs you down in many ways.
18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.
19. It’s never too late to be happy.  But it’s all up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer.
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Overprepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
24. The most important sex organ is the brain.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words, ‘In five years, will this matter?’
27. Always choose Life.
28. Forgive but don’t forget.
29. What other people think of you is none of your business.
30. Time heals almost everything. Give Time time.
31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
33. Believe in miracles.
34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.
35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.
36. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young.
37. Your children get only one childhood.
38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d
grab ours back.
41. Envy is a waste of time. Accept what you already have, not what you think you need.
42. The best is yet to come…
43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
44. Yield.
45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.

Home Decor...

As the winter winds down for us Texans I find myself even more anxious for spring to get here. Not only for the flowers and the birds chirping and the warmer weather, even though all those things are wonderful, but mostly for spring cleaning, organizing, and just getting rid of a ton of clutter. I know I am completely weird maybe but I do look forward to it. Thinking about it is making me also want to change up some decor throughout my house, mostly my kitchen area. I was recently at Walmart browsing one day and happened to finally find the clearance isle, which was located at the back of my particular store near the pet food. I found some really cute planters with fake grass/wheat looking plants sticking out of it and it gave me a great vision for how I want my kitchen to look. So I bought them and hence the project starts..lol

The planters were marked down to an amazing price! All three *which are pictured below* were marked down to only $2.00 each! The longer planter was originally $20.00, I couldn't believe the mark down and neither could the lady who checked me out. All three planters are Better Homes and Gardens brand and they are very nice. Now I want to build the rest of my kitchen decor around these and go with a more wicker/bamboo/shabby chic look..yeah I know that sounds like a odd combination but the vision I have in my mind is just so beautiful to me. I am going to be doing this very slowly and not rushing things beause I want to find just the perfect pieces to put all this together but as I go along I will be sure to post progress pictures here.

My table is my first big project. I just bought the four white chairs at a garage sale. Got all four of them for $40.00, which is a very good deal because they are antique type chairs and very strudy. They are already a bit distressed but I want to distress the edges a bit more. I also want to either find a light tan table cloth or either get a light wood table to match a little better, but in the meantime I found these really cute bamboo placemats at my dollar tree that look so cute for the present time. Who knows maybe I will even keep them there. Depends on how long they last around two 4 year olds..lol
Oh I forgot to mention to that the flower centerpiece in the middle of my table is also from Walmart and is a Better Homes and Gardens brand and was also marked down to only two dollars. I orignally bought it to put on my little table that I have out on our patio but changed my mind when I saw how cute it looked on the table. It's a work in progress but I'm going to have fun shopping around for just the right pieces and putting it all together.

I also set out to find just the perfect comforter set for my bed. I had an image in my mind of one that I wanted and imagine my suprise one day when I found almost the exact same one in my Big Lots! I snatched it up right away! It was a great deal. It was $59.99 and came with a comforter, bed skirt, two pillow cases, and three decorative pillows.
*it is also pictured below but in this picture I had not put on the bed skirt yet, but it is now on and looks even better!*

Anyway, I just wanted to share all of this with you guys and like I said I will be doing other blog posts with updates as it comes along.
Be blessed and have a great week!
Happy Valentines Day!

Radiation Of The Pacific Ocean In The Next 10 Years - Japan Nuclear Disa...

This may seem like an out of the ordinary post for me but to be honest it isn't at all. I am quite interested in this type of thing and have been for awhile. Science is another passion of mine, however it is a side of me that you haven't gotten to know. I wanted to post this because I find it extremely disappointing to see what us as a human race, for those who think I'm being all and mighty here, I also mean myself when I say "us as a human race", are doing to the world. Knowledge is power and maybe some things can't be reversed but it's not to late to at least try IMO. Let me know what you all think about all this.

Dollar Tree Iphone Cases?!?

As you all know I have been an avid Android user now for the past two years. Android is amazing! However, I am the type of person who likes to try new things so I will be switching to an iphone sometime within the next month if not sooner if all goes well. Most likely I will be getting a 4 or 4s being as I have watched many reviews that said the iphone 5 isn't much different than the 4s, so being that the 4s is alot cheaper I will be going with that one or the 4 which ever works out better for me when I go in to make my switch.

Now the reason for this post is I wanted to show you a few cases that I picked up tonight at the dollar tree of all places! I have saw these in my dollar tree for awhile now but never picked them up until now because I wasn't for sure which phone I wanted to go with when I did my upgrade. So, tonight I picked up four cases, they had a few more but these were my favorites, and I picked up a screen protector. I also have a little stand that also came from the dollar tree and a charging docking station that I got a few months ago to use on my ipod, it will of course now work to charge my iphone when I get it. So, if you have an iphone you may wanna check out your local dollar tree for some really cute cases and accessories!

The baby pink case and the blue case have flip out stands built in so you can set your phone up to watch videos etc..I thought that was so cool! These types of cases are going for $10 or more on ebay right now!

CLICK THE IMAGES TO MAKE THEM LARGER!

This is a black case, which is plastic and then the screen protector with also a protector to go over the back of the phone.

I love the pink polka dot one! They had a black case with white polka dots at one time but my store didn't have anymore of those. Like I said the plain pink and blue case have flip out stands built in the back of them. They also had this particular style of case in white and also a black one but I just picked these up for now because I will be ordering at least two more right away from ebay so this should do me for awhile. lol

Hope you guys enjoyed this post. Let me know if you have seen these at your dollar tree and if your store has any different ones or not. Have a great Friday and a safe weekend!

Things Facebook Won't Tell You

Things Facebook Won't Tell You:
*Taken from a Reader's Digest Article in Feb 2013 edition*

1. Want to know how much facebook knows about you? Go to Account Settings menu and click DOWNLOAD A COPY OF YOUR FACEBOOK DATA. Small print.

2. You may not want to share your updates and other personal information with the whole world, but they keep the default setting as PUBLIC. It's better for them if you share more, and they are assuming that most of us aren't going to bother to change our privacy settings.

3. You may not see every post from your friends, and only a fraction of your friends may see all your updates. Facebook wants users to see posts that will keep them on the site the longest, so it moves up the posts that are the most liked, shared, and commented on.

4. If you are signed in to facebook we track you while you surf the internet. Anytime you visit a page that has a Facebook LIKE or Share button, they log that information.

5. If your posts are set to be Public, burglars can see your status updates and figure out when your not in town. Insurance companies may also use posted information to raise a premium or deny a claim.

6. Posting big news like your engagement, the birth of a baby, or your acceptance to grad school? Facebook will know. They target those types of announcements by using something called natural language processing, and then they make sure they stick around in your friends' news feeds until the next time they log on.

7. It may work to your benefit for them to know alot about you. For instance, if you LIKE the Gap facebook page because you shop there, you will appreciate it when a coupon pops up.

8. Not seeing enough posts from friends you care about and too many from those you don't? Set your news feed to sort by Most Recent, rather than Top News. Then add your favorite people to your close friends list and unsubscribe from any friends whose updates your not interested in receiving.

9.They make money by selling ad space to companies that want to reach you. They give them demographics, the desired location, career, education level and they put their ads on the pages of those who meet the criteria.

10. If you really want to make sure your friends see your important news, you can pay a fee, around $7 to $10 a post, to move your update to the top of their news feeds.

11. Lots of users hate the Timeline, but it's not going away anytime soon. It's a more effective way for people to share, it's visually appealing and the brands love it because it gives them a better platform to market their business and show people who they are.

12. You can limit your posts to Facebook friends who live in your city, those who went to your college, or those you work with. You can even choose to allow everyone to view a post except your boss. Click the arrow in the lower right hand corner of the status update box, and you will see all the options.
