I Love Fall Tag!

1. Favorite Fall Lip Color? Airy Fairy by Rimmel

2. Favorite Fall Nailpolish? NYC Big Apple Red Creme

3. Favorite Starbucks Fall Drink? I don't really go to Starbucks all that often so I don't really have one from there. However, I would say my all time favorite thing to drink in the fall is vanilla cappuccino mixed with hot chocolate with mini marshmallows!

4. Favorite Fall Candle? I have alot. Mostly I love anything that smells like pumpkin spice or pumpkin pie..yum! I do also love this Seed Soy candle..I can't get enough of this scent. It reminds me of the fall and of that transition from fall into the Christmas holiday season! It is called Peppermint Candy.

5. Favorite Fall Scarf or Accessory? Easy! My pink fuzzy hat!!

6. Haunted house? Haunted hay ride? Or haunted corn maze? I would for sure pick the haunted corn maze! Or the haunted hay ride. The haunted house is fun but you honestly cant really see much to enjoy the experience.

7. Favorite Halloween movie? I'm so bummed because I haven't seen this yet this year and Halloween is tomorrow :( Guess it's time to bust out the VHS..lol

8. Favorite candy to eat on Halloween? I would say just normal candy bars like Snickers, Fifth Avenue, Milky Ways..stuff like that.

9. What are you dressing up as for this Halloween? WELL...IF I get the time between dressing the kids up, I'm planning on being a gal from the 50's! My favorite era!!
Here are my glasses!

10. What is your favorite thing about fall? Everything! The leaves changing. The briskness *is that a word* to the air. The cool fall breeze. The smell of the air. All the memories of my childhood being brought back. The mysterious aura that everything seems to take on. The shadows. The eeriness! Just everything!!

Weightloss Ups and Downs

While up tonight looking for weightloss motivation, information, tips, low cal recipes etc I found myself really becoming very bored with it all. I mean sure I've lost 60 pounds since this whole journey for me began, but it's taken me two years to loose those 60 pounds. Don't get me wrong, I know that I should be proud and I am, believe me I would much rather be 60 pounds lighter than 60 pounds heavier. It's just that I know I should have been farther and if I hadn't been a slacker so many times then I would have been at my goal weight right now. Also, when your starting out as big as I did and still am, it takes alot weightloss before anyone including yourself can really start to notice a difference and that can be very discouraging. So, thinking all these thoughts I started to feel those old self doubt thoughts creeping back into my head saying...your still so big, why try so hard you know it's not going to come off quick. OR...you don't have to workout tonight it probably won't make much of a difference anyway. OR...why are you killing yourself, no one can see any difference in you at all. Blah blah blah brain blah blah! Same old stuff over and over and over. Tonight was different though thank God above because I was able to pull myself out of the slump enough to know what was going on and I went in search of inspiration so to speak and stumbled upon a blog of this girl who was pretty heavy as well when she started her weightloss journey back in 2006...she is now at her goal weight and looks amazing! It was like God knew exactly what to send me because her blog really put me back on the right path. So thank you Heavenly Father for that!

One of her posts she was talking about how others treated her while she was loosing the weight. She talked about her having lost about 40 pounds, she was feeling good about her journey and her progress and then she went out in public and over heard someone making fun of how big she was and how hearing that sent her into this downward spiral of emotions that she couldn't control. It's those types of things that us bigger girls have to deal with. Please don't misunderstand me, loosing weight is extremely hard no matter what size you are but I feel that with each size comes different hardships so to speak. For instance what this girl was talking about. That is why I related to her so much. Like I said above, I have lost 60 pounds in two years and I do feel good about that. However, I still get people saying things about my weight. Whether it be family members who are genuinely concerned about my health and try to give me advice, which we all know turns into much more than that, or just random people who don't care how bad their words hurt people. That puts major set backs on weightloss to hear things like that period let alone when you have lost so much weight and think your doing awesome and then you hear someone call you a fat ass, or hear them talking about how big you are in other ways. You think to yourself, "wow, I've lost so much weight already and they are still saying those things maybe no matter what I do it will never be enough. Maybe the weight isn't going to come off to the point that this stuff will ever stop." I am guilty of being put off and pulled down by instances such as these but I am proud to say that I am also the type of person who doesn't dwell on it to long before I pick myself up and keep going no matter the cost, criticisms, taunts etc. You have to. You have to keep going because those people who are saying those things about you don't know anything! They are mean hurtful people with mean hearts. They don't deserve an ounce of that power that your giving them to allow them to bring you that far down enough to stop doing something that could enhance your life to the maximum! THEY DON'T DESERVE THAT POWER! What makes them so special? NOTHING!

Anyway, I am back on track now and no matter how many times it takes me...maybe this is the time maybe it isn't, maybe it will take me 50 more tries to get this damn weight off who knows! What I do know though is that no one and I do mean no one is going to stop me from getting back up and trying again and again and again if that is what I need to do!

Final thought is do not listen to what other's say. Because negativity usually comes from negativity and more than likely those people have some deep down scars from something in their life that has caused them to think that is is completely ok to not only act that way but ok to say those types of things to another human being. Pray for them and you keep going because that's what God wants you to do and his opinion ALWAYS over rides theirs.

For example, here are some other people throughout history that didn't listen to what other's said about them...thank goodness they didn't because those people WERE WRONG!

The blog where I got these from will be listed below. Good luck to everyone on their own journeys and God bless!

After Fred Astaire's first screen test, the memo from the testing director of MGM, dated 1933, said, "can't act! Slightly Bald! Can dance a little!" Astaire kept that memo over the fireplace in his Beverly Hills home.

An expert said of Vince Lombardi: "He possesses minimal football knowledge. Lacks Motivation."

Socrates was called, "An immoral corrupter of youth."

When Peter J. Daniel was in the fourth grade, his teacher, Mrs. Phillips, constantly said, "Peter J. Daniel, you're no good, you're a bad apple and you're never going to amount to anything." Peter was totally illiterate until he was 26. A friend stayed up with him all night and read him a copy of Think and Grow Rich. Now he owns the street corners he used to fight on and just published his latest book: Mrs. Phillips, You Were Wrong.

Louisa May Alcott, the author of Little Women, was encouraged to find work as a servant or seamstress by her family.

Beethoven handled the violin awkwardly and preferred playing his own compositions instead of improving his technique. His teacher called him hopeless as a composer.

The parents of the famous opera singer Enrico Caruso wanted him to be an engineer. His teachers said he had no voice at all and could not sing.

Walt Disney was fired by a newspaper editor for lack of ideas. Walt Disney also went bankrupt several times before he built Disneyland.

Thomas Edison's teachers said he was too stupid to learn anything.

Albert Einstein did not speak until he was four years old and didn't read until he was seven. His teacher described him as "mentally slow, unsociable and adrift forever in his foolish dreams." He was expelled and refused admittance to Zurich Polytechnic School.

Louis Pasteur was only a mediocre pupil in undergraduate studies and ranked 15 out of 22 in chemistry.

Isaac Newton did very poorly in grade school.

The sculptor Rodin's father said, "I have an idiot for a son." Described as the worst pupil in the school, Rodin failed three times to secure admittance to the school of art. His uncle called him uneducable.

Leo Tolstoy, author of War and Peace, flunked out of college. He was described as "both unable and unwilling to learn."

Playwright Tennessee Williams was enraged when his play, Me, Vasha was not chosen in a class competition at Washington University where he was enrolled in English XVI. The teacher recalled that Williams denounced the judges' choices and their intelligence.

F. W. Woolworth's employers at the dry goods store said he had not enough sense to wait upon customers.

Henry Ford failed and went broke five times before he finally succeeded.

Babe Ruth, considered by sports historians to be the greatest athlete of all time and famous for setting the home run record, also holds the record for strikeouts.

Winston Churchill failed sixth grade. He did not become Prime Minister of England until he was 62, and then only after a lifetime of defeats and setbacks. His greatest contributions came when he was a "senior citizen."

Eighteen publishers turned down Richard Bach's Jonathan Livingston Seagull, before Macmillan finally published it in 1970. By 1975 it had sold more than seven million copies in the U.S. alone.

Richard Hooker worked for seven years on his humorous war novel, M*A*S*H, only to have it rejected by 21 publishers before Morrow decided to publish it. It became a runaway bestseller, spawning a blockbusting movie and highly successful television series.

October 2012 Favorites!

I can't believe that October is almost over!! Seems like just last week I was saying the same thing about September. Wow! Time seems to be moving at crazy warp speeds now days. When I was a kid growing up it seemed like time stood still. What I wouldn't give for it to feel like that again..lol Anyway, as most of you all know by now, I have decided to quit youtube. I will not be changing my mind, it is a permanent decision. However, I still want to be able to share my ideas however goofy or irrelevant they may be sometimes with you all. Therefore, I will be doing that through my blog mostly but also through my Keek videos which for those who do not know what keek is, it is an app that you can get for your phone, OR you can visit the site online to watch the videos at www.keek.com, in which you can upload 36 second videos about anything you want. It is basically a cross between youtube and Instagram. I have my preferences set up to when I post a new keek video, it will also show up on my facebook. So if you want to add me there and you haven't already you can find the link to my page in the side bar. Ok, now on with the favorites!

Glade Winter Collection air freshner spray in Bayberry Spice. Bought this at my King Dollar but you could probably find it most any places that sell Glade. It is part of their winter collection so it may not have came out yet this year.

Better Homes wax tarts in Iced Raspberry Sangria
This I bought at Walmart in the candle isle $2 each!

LOVE these two! My house has smelled amazing using these two scents the past couple weeks! The glade really reminds me of that Christmas smell of pine mixed with a mulberry/raspberry cinnamon smell! The raspberry tarts smell just as good, they are on the stronger smelling side which I love but for those of you who have a problem with strong scents then this particular one might not be for you.

Pine Sol in Lavender Clean scent

Funny seeing a bottle of Pine Sol isn't it? lol But as I'm sure most of you know I actually love to clean. This has been my favorite thing to mop the floors with for the past four months! The smell of this is just completely refreshing, girlie, clean, just so many wonderful things all wrapped up in this bottle! I actually bought this at my dollar tree! Yep thats right so if you want to try it, it will only cost ya a buck!

L'Oreal Paris Youth Code Youth Regenerating Skincare foaming gel cleanser.
You can buy this at Walmart, possibly Ulta, Kmart, Target, most any drugstore. I'm not sure on the price because this was sent to me from one of my subbies.

I am in love! Yes oh yes! This stuff is fab! This is the reason why my face is completely clear right now and it's just two days before my girlie time. Let me just say something right now..THAT HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME BEFORE! lol Normally around that time my face breaks out horribly bad especially around my jaw line and bottom of my chin area. Not this time! I use this stuff every other day and it keeps my skin completely clear. I would HIGHLY recommend this if your looking for a facial cleanser. It is really delicate on your skin too, not harsh at all. I have had no over drying or anything. FYI I have combination skin.

Noxema Cleaner Blemish Control Foaming Wash
King Dollar $1.09

Now I know that the King Dollar is only here in Texas but I felt I needed to include this in my favorites because using this in addition to the product above has really cleared my face up almost completely. Meaning that, I have hardly no breakouts on my face at all and the ones I do have are so tiny that they are almost not even noticeable! You might still be able to find this in stores. My King Dollar just got this in stock so it may not be discontinued. Although my king dollar store does carry alot of discontinued products they also carry alot of products you can still find in the stores and this might be one of those products so like I said if your looking for a good face cleanser and you happen to see this in your Walmart, Target, drugstores, you might wanna give it a try. It is a foaming wash. Comes out in a white foam of course and lathers really nice. It's not harsh on your skin at all and I've had no over drying of my skin. I use this every other day. I alternate between this one and the L'oreal one above. After using it I always apply my normal moisturizer and it's been working out perfect!

Yes to Carrots rich moisture day cream.
Walmart $14.97 for a 1.7oz jar

I have used alot of facial moisturizers in the course of the last three years mainly and I will say that none of them can hold a candle to this one! I adore it! It leaves my skin so soft and has really helped even out my skin tone a little. Amazing moisturizer! I highly recommend this one. It's easy to find and a little bit goes A LONG WAY trust me so the price isn't bad at all because this is going to last you awhile. The only down side to this is the smell. It's not a horrible smell but it does remind me, and this is going to sound weird but it reminds me of the smell of an old book from the library...lol It's not overpowering though and it does go away amost immediately after you apply it onto your skin and rub it in.

Rimmel Stay Matte pressed face powder.
Walmart $3.97

This pressed powder is my HG powder. It's the only powder I use now and will continue to use until they stop making this and I do not feel that way about alot of products but this one I do. I love this powder so much. It sets your makeup very nicely and it gives you that perfect matte flawless look! I have semi sensitive skin now as well and I've never had a problem.

TOP: Prestige My Blackest Lashes Mascara
You can buy this at Ulta or any other place they sell Prestige products.

Bottom: Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner pencil in Zero
Once again any place that says Urban Decay; Sephora, Ulta or the urban decay website.

My eyes have become sensitive within the past year and both of these products have never given me any problems. The mascara is just the best mascara that I have ever used, honestly it is. The wand is really similar to the Covergirl lash blast wand *the orange tube* but a bit smaller. It really separates your lashes very well and it gives alot of volume *which is what I want* and even some length. So this is a mascara that I will stick with for awhile. The eyeliner is a great eyeliner for your waterline. It doesn't stay as well as the Milani liquif'eye liners do but there isn't that much of a difference. I have the Milani one as well and as most of you know, it has been in a couple of my past favorites videos but my eyes have since became very sensitive to that one and I can only wear it for about three hours before I have to take it off. With the urban decay 24/7 eyeliner I don't have to worry about that. I can wear it all day and never have any issues with it making my eyes water, burn, sting, etc like the Milani one does me now. It's a really nice eyeliner.

NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Big Apple Red Creme.
Anywhere NYC products are sold. Price is usually around $.93 cents!

I rediscovered this around the end of September and I have literally had this on my nails pretty much the entire month of October with the exception one time and that is right now and I have a traditional french manicure. This red is just perfect! This is my perfect red! It's so bright and pretty! And for the price how in the world can you not afford to have this in your collection!?

TOP: Vaseline lip therapy in Cocoa butter.
Got mine at Walgreens for $1.79

Bottom: Cherry Culture lip balm in Bubble Gum.
Cherryculture.com I think they are .99 cents!

These two are hands down my favorite lip treatments. I love them both equally, ok well maybe not. I like the Vaseline one a little better but only because of the flavor. Both of them have the same texture and moisturize just as good as the other! Once again, the prices for these are just crazy affordable!

wet N Wild Mega Slicks lip gloss in #578 Sinless.
BELOW PIC IS THE SWATCH PIC. TAKEN WITH FLASH.
Walmart $1.79

I have been wearing this lip gloss like it's just the most luscious thing on earth! lol It is such a beautiful frosty pink color. For those who don't like frosty pearl type glosses then this one isn't for you. This color looks amazing when used with a brown smokey eye!

Sephora lip gloss in Think Pink.
PIC OF SWATCH IS BELOW. TAKEN WITH FLASH.
Of course you can buy this from Sephora and I'm not sure how much it cost because it was a gift.

This is my lip gloss that I always have with me. No matter where I go it's either in my purse or my pocket. It is so pretty. Has so much shimmer, not the chunky shimmer that makes you feel like you have been snacking on sand cakes but so fine that you can't even feel it on your lips! I love the texture, it's not sticky at all whatsoever and I love that. I hate sticky glosses! YUCK! It's a very sheer gloss with just a touch of pink.

Rimmel Twist & Shine Lip Polish in Swinging.
BOTTOM SWATCH PIC IS USING NO FLASH!
Once again, this was a gift so I am not sure how much the price is but you can find these at most drugstores, Walmart, Target, etc.

The packaging of these remind me alot of the ELF $1.00 lip glosses which I also adore! I have been wearing this like crazy as well. Love the texture and the color is just such a pretty semi frost/pearl shimmer *I'm horrible at describing colors*, color and it also looks so pretty with smokey eyes especially gray smokey eyes.

Sally Girl eyeshadow in Fairy Pink.
SWATCH PIC BELOW!
You can get these at Sally Beauty Supply for $.99 cents! These are the ones where you can slide them together to make your own little eyeshadow palette.

This has seriously become a staple eyeshadow when I do any kind of smokey eye. This is the perfect frosty highlight color! I use it for my inner corner and just under the arch of my brow after I apply my normal matte highlight color which is often WNW Brulee. It gives me that touch of frostiness under my arch that I think looks so beautiful. This eyeshadow is really soft and very pigmented!

MAC eyeshadow in Sable.
SWATCH PIC BELOW!
Once again this was a gift so not sure of the price.
Any MAC counter, Sephora.

I adore this color! I have been using this eyeshadow in almost every look I have done within the past couple weeks. It's a great color if you have hazel eyes or green eyes because it is a purple~ish taupe color so it's really going to bring out the green in your eyes.

Jordana eyeshadow in Desert Spice.
SWATCH PIC BELOW!
You can get these at most beauty supply stores, Walgreens, anywhere that sales Jordana products most always have these eyeshadows. Price usually is under $2.00

This shadow is the perfect transition color! I have been using it for that for almost every single smokey eye that I've done within the past couple weeks. It blends so nice. It is not a matte shadow, it's more of a satin and it's just a really beautiful color. Very pigmented, very soft texture.

Well that's it for October guys and gals. I hope that you enjoyed reading and seeing what my favorites were for this month. Please let me know by leaving a comment below if you like how I did the posting of my favorites, whether the layout, wording etc was easy to read. Also, if you have any suggestions on things I might need to change etc. I would love to hear them! Have a great fall everyone and a spooktacular Halloween! Be blessed!

$1 Finds

Alot of you always tell me that you love seeing my hauls but now that I'm not doing youtube videos anymore I can't show you in video form so I'll just post pics here and show you, hope you don't mind :)

Tonight I had to run out to the store to grab a couple things. I went to our H.E.B grocery store. To my knowledge H.E.B stores are only located in Texas. Anyway, I found a few cute pieces of jewerly for a buck and had to share what I found.

A sideways cross bracelet! I was thrilled to see these! I almost bought every color they had. They had a red, brown and this teal blue one but I decided that I would get the color that would match most of everything I had. This was only $1.oo! I couldn't believe it because as most of you know I am obsessed with sideways crosses, they are just so unique and most of the bracelets I have seen like this are at least $8-$10.

I loved this ring. Once again I picked a blue one. They had a brownish color one and a black one. You can't see alot of detail from this picture but it is a tear drop shape with different color holographic type clear stones along the side of it.

I had to have this one as soon as I saw it. It reminded me of something I might find in my great granny's jewelry box! They did have another color choice which had the white pearls on the outside corners like this one but the center pearl was grey.

As I have said before, I am the type of girl who would rather have pearls than diamonds...lol This bow ring was just to cute to pass up. It has a little dangle pearl hanging down from it.

Last but not least I got this really weird looking bracelet. It came with a pair of earrings. It was the only one they had left and because it just looked really odd and unique I had to get it. ;)

Well, that's it for my small H.E.B haul. I will be putting up my October 2012 favorites later this week! Hope you all have a great Tuesday..be blessed!

My Cleaning List

I get alot of ladies asking me about my cleaning schedule, cleaning list etc. I have spent alot of time trying to find a list, or trying to make one myself, that will work for me and that I can stick to. I found this one on Pinterest a few months ago and love it. I tweek it a bit here and there from time to time to suit my needs but for the most part this is the exact list I go by to clean. I find it extremely easy to follow and it gets everything taken care of. I really love this one.

KISS French Acrylic Nail Kit

I ventured out of my comfort zone the other night when it came to my nails. I normally wear the fake nails from Broadway or Nailene or even KISS and even the occasional no name brand that I have found from the Dollar stores. However, about four or five months ago I bought an acrylic kit on a whim while out at my CVS one night. After buying it I became to intimidated by it to even try to use it. I know, sad right? Yep! Well, a few nights ago I said NO MORE! I will defeat you acrylic or at least go down fighting! Nah, but it was something close to that...lol Here is a picture of the kit I used. It comes with white tips as well as the uncolored normal nail tips.

This kit was $10.00 at CVS. You can certainly buy it cheaper at Walmart. Things are always more expensive at drugstores but like I said, it was on a whim. Anyway, the first thing I noticed upon opening the package is that the brush they give you is a really nice quality brush. The handle is very well made and very sturdy and sleek. The brush bristles themselves are soft and very easy to work with. Definitely not like the brushes I remember them coming with years and years ago. I also must say that I did not use the tips that came in this kit. I decided to use my flared nail tips that I had bought from ebay months ago with this kit only for the simple fact that I am obsessed with the flared nail look. The tips in the kit look very nice and well made and I will be using them the next time I put on a set of nails.

I made sure that before I started applying the acrylics that I had a small cup for some pure acetone as well as a separate glass for the actual acrylic liquid. I did this because I wanted to keep my brush nice and soft and not take chances of the acrylic powder drying to the brush hairs and ruining my brush. I highly recommend you do the same because your brush will be ruined. I made sure to dip the brush in the acetone and wiggle it around after each application of the bead to my nails. This worked out perfectly and kept my brush in great condition. I actually found that it was alot easier than I thought to apply acrylic nails..now I'm obsessed...lol I still need to practice getting the areas around my cuticles a little better so that I don't have premature lifting but under the circumstances, I think I did a good job!

After the acrylics were done I then made a homemade sheer pink polish to put over them just because I love that light pink look. I made this polish by taking an old top coat clear polish and added a few drops of red polish to it and then a few drops of white polish to it and then shook it all up and voila!
Here is a picture of the finished nails. I love this kit and will continue to do acrylic nails more frequently. They give you quite a bit of product in this kit so you can do your nails many times especially if you have some of your own tips to use!

Saint Benedict Medals

Just ordered three of these from ebay. They are Saint Benedict medals for those who may not be familiar with them. I got one for me and one for the kids. I really do strongly believe in the power of protection things like this can give you. Once we get them my husband is going to take them to a priest and have them blessed for us.  Peace of mind, peace of heart. God bless!

Do It Yourself Ghost Hunting Part 2: Setting Up an Investigation

As promised, here is Part 2!

Do It Yourself Ghost Hunting Part 2: Setting Up an Investigation

Written By: James Paradie

Last time we talked about getting set to get ready to go on your first ghost investigation. Whether with yourself and some friends or with a professional group, you’re set and ready to journey into the darkness. But how can we go about getting an investigation all ready and set? And what about some steps to go through before you do your first ghost hunt? Well, here’s some hints:

1. It doesn’t hurt to ask around. Maybe you have a friend or a relative or a coworker that has a haunted residence. Those are the easiest to get, so try that first. I said last time you could try a cemetery, but if the person in charge says no, don’t be discouraged. There’s lots of cruel people out there who disrespect the sites. You may not do a thing like that, but they have to take precautions just incase. This may seem crazy to some, but I believe that just because someone is deceased doesn’t mean that they don’t have feelings, so if someone trashes their grave site, of course their feelings may become hurt. If not, then their families feelings will be hurt.

2. Set up a date and a time. Usually when NEPI goes, we set up to go there between 7 or 8 p.m. This isn’t required by any ghost hunting law (I don’t even think those exist), but set a time that’s convenient for everyone (client and team together.) We all have lives, so sometimes we need to collaborate on when’s the best time for everyone. The bigger the residence, the bigger the need for more people. The smaller the residence, the less need for more people. Make sure to tell those interested though, because something may come up.

3. History is THE most important information piece to gather before entering a residence. Get names of past owners, if there’s been any kind of death, and remember this one important lesson: History repeats itself even in death.

4. Before you leave, make sure you have all your equipment. Like I said last time, you don’t need to go all out and buy the most expensive equipment. You can start out simple: audio recorder, digital camera, and flashlights are basically all you need. Flashlights are always important, because most of the investigating takes place in the dark.

5. When you get there, have the client take you through a tour of the residence and have them tell you what goes on there. Have your audio recorders handy, because when going over evidence later, this will be key, because what if someone says, “The old owner who died here is name (so and so)”, then you hear someone saying that name on your EVP, then you will know you got something. I have a terrible memory, so that’s what I do.

Some questions may come up like “How much do I charge?” It’s great to get money from doing an investigation, but most respectable ghost hunters do not charge for their services. Remember, most people do this as a hobby and not to get money from it. Charging for services is actually frowned upon in the ghost hunting community. Donations are acceptable though. We’ve even gotten a gourmet (well, almost) meal out of an investigation or two.

Okay, so you’ve gone through the whole details of what happens in the house, now it’s time for the fun part…investigating! But we’ll talk about that on the next edition, so make sure to bring some flashlights with you, because things are going to go pitch black! Until next time, this has been Scared Sheetless, happy haunting and keep it scary!

Do It Yourself Ghost Hunting Part 1: Getting Started

Since this is the month of the dead..bwahaha! lol I figured that I would post some creepy stuff up until Halloween here on my blog. It's no secret that I am obsessed with the paranormal, have been around it and involved with it since my early teen years. I love to ghost hunt and I get alot of questions still to this day about my experiences, how I control the fear etc..etc...but the number one question I always get is how do you start out ghost hunting and what stuff do you need when you first start out. Well, I haven't had a moment to actually sit down, gather my thoughts on the subject enough to write an entry about it but I did find a good article with some good recommendations from the website www.paranormalnews.com

Without boring you all with anymore of my rambling, here is the article. The source for the article is linked below. Enjoy! Part 2 will be posted next.

pictures that have evidence are from cameras that you can buy at any department store for a relatively cheap price.

The second important item would be an audio recorder. I started out with a basic analog recorder that took cassette tapes. It was alright at first, I got no solid evidence from it, but it got the job done…until it got very annoying. Changing cassettes happened about every half an hour and just got to be a pain in the butt. I now have a Olympus digital recorder which cost about forty dollars at Staples. Most pricier than an analog, but not as much of a pain. Just leave it on and see if you can catch some voices from the grave!

You don’t need to go online and buy stuff like dowsing rods or pendulums or anything like that, but what you need is a few people to go along with you. Sure, you can do ghost hunting by yourself, but if you catch real evidence and you try telling people, they are going to think you’re making this up. But if you bring more than just yourself and more than one person saw or heard something you did, then your story has more credibility. But who to bring though? Obviously you want to bring others who have some sort of belief in ghosts. Because if something does happen then you have witnesses, and also they can bring their own equipment as well. There’s been some cases where we’ll have two audio recorders going on at once and they’ll catch two completely different results or one will catch something and another, running right next to it, will catch nothing at all. Cameras are the same way. When we were doing the investigation in Bethlehem, New Hampshire where Nicole caught the picture of the blue mist behind Nancy on the stairs(Photo on my website), I was taking photos as well, but where she caught something, I caught nothing on my camera. It’s very tricky, so this is where more people are better than one.

Okay, you got your people, you got your camera, you got your audio recorder, what’s next? The ghosts! Now, you just need a haunted location. Graveyards a good way to start and get practice, but you just don’t want to waltz into a graveyard at night ghost hunting. Most likely the police won’t like that. The best thing to do is to check with whoever takes care of the cemetery and then go and check with the local authorities and let them know when you’re doing the investigation and how long you will be. Most of the time, they are very understanding. This is of course due to today, everyone and their brother is a ghost hunter of some sorts, and there’s groups everywhere across America now, but back say twenty years ago, they’d look at you like you were insane. It’s probably even safe to say that twenty years ago I wouldn’t even be able to write for the newspapers that I do! (Course that would make me three years old though.)

What I’d like to do is get some amateur ghost hunting stories from my fellow readers and post a few of these stories on some future editions of Scared Sheetless. Have you ever gone ghost hunting or have ghost stories of your own? Just email me atscaredsheetlessncn@hotmail.com and let me know if you have and your story could be right on here! Within the next few weeks I’ll be doing more Do It Yourself Ghost Hunting tips for those who would like to get into it. (You’re crazy, but I like that).

Until next time, this has been another Scared Sheetless. Happy haunting and keep it scary!

SWATCHES: CityVibe Quad in Brownie Points

Just a quick blog post to show swatches of this quad I bought a few months ago. I am completely amazed at the quality of these shadows! I bought this quad at my King Dollar, which is like a dollar tree store, for $1.09. The pigmentation is amazing, the shadows are a very creamy texture and soft. The company that makes this product are based out of Miami. Enjoy the swatches!

There was no base or primer used for these swatches.

A couple people asked me for a better look at the colors in the palette so I took a couple photos. For those interested I hope these will suffice. This is such a gorgeous palette and one that I use alot. Thank you Heaven1279 *her YouTube channel name* for sending me such a beautiful gift!

Our Halloween Decor

Just thought I would share with you all some pictures of our Halloween decorations we put outside. We don't really have a big area to decorate and we are limited to the types of things we can put up because we aren't allowed to nail anything into the siding or anything like that so most of our decor is light weight I guess you could say. We mostly do our Halloween decor for the kids, they love putting it up every year. I get most everything at my dollar tree, target *dollar section* or my king dollar store.

Anyway, here are a few pictures.

Oklahoma Cemetery 10-7-12

It's getting that time of year that I love...the time when the leaves turn beautiful colors and fall to the ground. The sounds of the wind blowing through rustling leaves, cloudy cool overcast days with a crisp breeze blowing, snuggled up in sweatshirts drinking nice warm cappuccino and watching all the scary movies on TV! Fall has always been my most favorite time of year because it holds so many of my favorite memories. I think fall is the most mysterious time of year, it's like everything you see has a whole new vibe..everything becomes shrouded in shadows and takes on a creepiness that gives you subtle chills & goosebumps. It's around this time that I enjoy ghost hunting the most!

Me and my sister went out this past weekend to scout out a possible location for a ghost hunt in the coming weeks. Here is a few photos from our time there. You can go to my vlogging channel on youtube and see a video of us there.
