My Christmas Nails!

*Taken with my cell phone camera..sorry about the quality.*

My nails for Christmas!
I used a Metallic Silver from the LA Colors Color Craze Collection and then the Wet N Wild nailpolish that is a holographic glitter over it. Neither bottle of polish had a name on it. The LA Colors one had a number..it was BCC 571 and the Wet N Wild polish is number 460D.
I love how it turned out!
Here are photos of the bottles if that helps at all....

Biotin for Hair, Nails & Skin!

I started taking Biotin about a month ago when my sister in law recommended it to me because I was experiencing some horrible hair loss thanks to a shampoo I was using *damn you Neutrogena T Gel version dandruff shampoo*. I looked for it at my CVS in the vitamin section and did find it there in the I believe it was the Nature's Bounty brand and it was about $13.00 or more. Don't buy it there or in that brand. The best place is Target..they have it there in the Origin brand..blue bottle..in the vitamin section where you would find vitamins like B12, Vitamin C, etc...and it is only $1.94 a bottle! It comes in 1000mcg and you usually get about 100 tablets to a bottle. I have been taking at least one a day for the past month and have seen considerable difference in my hair growth! My hair has grown probubly about two inches in a month..maybe a little more than that! Alot of other people have said that they also see a difference with their nails...it is suppossed to be great for those as well..I haven't saw much of a difference with my nails, but then again I have only been taking one pill a day..I am going to move it up to two pills a day and see what that does for me. Biotin is very safe and there are no current known side effects from taking it. It is a dietary supplement and water soluable so it doesn't stay in your body, it gets flushed out the same day. That is why you have to take it everyday. Biotin is in prenatal vitamins. That is why alot of pregnant women say their hair grows really quick or their nails grow really fast while they are pregnant, it is because of the biotin in their prenatal vitamins. I personally highly recommend taking Biotin. It has done wonders for my hair! Below is a picture of what the bottle looks like that I am talking about.
Here is a link to the Wikipedia deffinition and more information on Biotin..

If you need more information about Biotin, just GOOGLE it...there are a ton of reviews and different information sources for it!

My New Favorite PINK!

This polish is my new favorite pink!
It is the PERFECT baby pink/Barbie pink color!
The brand is SANTEE and the color is ironically called "Baby Pink"
I bought this bottle at my king dollar for a dollar.
I have quite a few Santee polishes and I absolutely LOVE them!
The only bad thing I have to say about them is I don't like the smell of them.
They don't smell like a typical nailpolish type smell, it is more of a "kerosene/gas" smell to me.
I dunno, maybe it was just my bottle that smelled like that but the smell did go away after putting the polish on my nails. It only smelled like that during the polishing process.

French Tips..not just used for acrylic!

The tips are actually suppossed to be used with acrylic but I thought they looked really nice just with being tips on my natural nails..you couldn't tell the difference at all!
I am really loving how these look and really do enjoy using them from time to time.
I bought these at my local king dollar store, which is basically like a dollar tree.
The brand is COSMAR "Quik Fit" Perfect Fit French Nail Tips.
They might be discontinued since they were at my king dollar but they make lots of other brands that are identical that can be found at Walmart, Target, or any other drugstores.

My July 4th Nails

Here are some pictures of my nails that I did for the July 4th holiday. I think they turned out pretty well. I got alot of compliments on them.

Homemade Chicken Salad Recipe

Ingrediants:

A crockpot
Package of boneless skinless chicken breast or tenderloins
Garlic powder
Black pepper
Onion Powder
Seasoning Salt
2 medium cucumbers or you could use celery if you like that better
1 teaspoon of Worchestershire Sauce
1 Teaspoon of Lemon juice
Low fat Mayo (I use the Reduced fat Mayo with Olive Oil)

Directions:

Thaw the chicken the night before.
The next morning open the chicken and season it to taste with the garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, and seasoning salt.
Then place the chicken in your crockpot by itself. DO NOT ADD ANYTHING WITH THE CHICKEN. THE CHICKEN WILL MAKE IT'S OWN JUICES AS IT COOKS.
Turn your crockpot on LOW and cook the chicken about 7 hours at minimum. You can go as much as 8 hours.
When the chicken is done, take it out and using a fork shred the chicken and place it into a bowl.
Place the bowl of chicken into the fridge and chill it for about half an hour.
Then remove the chicken from the fridge and peel and chop up your cucumbers and add it to your chicken.
Add in your worchestershire sauce and your lemon juice.
Stir together.
Then just add your mayo. You want to make this of course into a chicken salad, so just add enough mayo until you get the right consistancy that you prefer.

THAT'S IT!
Serve on some whole wheat bread for sandwiches with some sliced tomato & you have yourself a delicious meal!

80's Inspired Nail Design

Just some neon paint splatters on black lines. I need to practice a bit more with the paint splatters. This design didn't come out as neat as I would have liked.

1 cup of frozen brocolli cuts
Low fat shredded cheese
Bag of Nachos
1 teaspoon of garlic powder

DIRECTIONS:

Empty your can of chilli into a microwave safe dish & add your cup of frozen brocolli & your teaspoon of garlic powder. Microwave on HIGH about 4-5 minutes to get the brocolli nice and tender. Remove and stir in 1/2 cup of your shredded cheese. Then just sprinkle more of your shredded cheese on the top & serve with the nachos!

RECIPE: Zuccini Black Bean Tortillas!

INGREDIENTS:

2 Med. Zuccini
2 regular size cans of black beans (drained & rinsed)
1/2 tablespoon of Cummin
1/2 teaspoon of Chilli powder
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion salt
Whole Wheat Tortillas
Salsa
Low fat Shredded Cheese
Low fat Sour Cream
Extra Virgin Olive Oil

DIRECTIONS:

Slice skin off your zuccini (leave on if you like it) & then chop the zuccini up into thin slices/cubes and add to a skillet with a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil covering the bottom. Drain and rinse both cans of your black beans and add them to the skillet. Add all of your spices and mix together well. Sautee the mixture for about 5 minutes to get the flavors blended and the zuccini a little tender.

Brown the tortillas (I put my in the oven on BROIL for a few minutes).

Once the zuccini & black bean mixture is finished, just add to your tortilla along with some salsa, cheese & sour cream & enjoy!

Old Phone vs New Phone

Hey everyone! Long time no blog I know but things are a bit hectic when you have twins. It is hard to believe that in 2 months and 3 weeks my babies will be 2 years old. It is really true what they say when they say that they grow up way to fast. Anyway moving on to this posting. I just wanted to show a couple pics of my old cell after I blinged it out and show some pics of my new phone. I had to recently get a new phone because after my old phone was all pretty and the way I like it, it decides to mess up and stop working...soooo here are some pics. Random posting I know but ol well!

My old phone....

My new phone....I recently bought a clear case for this phone and I have already started making my own version of a blinged out case like LuxAddiction.com sales....we will see how it turns out. I will post pics when I am done with it.

"Electric Charge"

L♥vin this nailpolish right now. It is called Electric Charge and it's from the LA Colors Color Craze collection. I got it at my local King Dollar (which is just like a Dollar Tree store) for $1.00. I have had this polish for at least 6 months and never wore it before until now...I am kicking myself in the ass because I could have been enjoying it all this time! Oh well, on the other hand I love it so much I might have been out of it by now so maybe it was a good thing.

The picture doesn't show the exact true color of the polish but it is pretty close. The color is a "Barbie bubble gum" pink color with a touch of NEON to it. So pretty!
